Unit 1: Python Programming (80 hours, 25 marks)
Python basics, interactive and script modes, tokens, variables; data types (numbers, boolean, strings, lists, tuples, None, dictionaries, mutability); operators; expressions, type conversion and console I/O; errors; flow of control, conditional and iterative statements; strings, lists, tuples and dictionaries with their built-in methods; modules (math, random, statistics); user-defined functions, parameters and scope; exception handling with try-except-finally.
Unit 2: E-Commerce (20 hours, 10 marks)
Definition, activities, goals, components and functions of e-commerce, advantages and disadvantages, business models (B2B, B2C, C2C, G2C and others), internet, intranet and extranet; electronic data interchange (EDI); electronic payment systems (credit cards, EFT, e-cash); internet marketing and personalisation.
