Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and 1academy (“1academy”, “we”, “us”) for the use of 1academy.in and its apps (the “Platform”). By creating an account or using the Platform you accept these terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

1. What we provide

1academy provides study material for university, board and competitive exams: notes, previous year question papers (PYQs), video lectures, short videos, quizzes, mock tests, test series and courses. Some items are free, some need a free account, and some need a purchase or an enrolment.

Material is for learning and revision. We aim for accuracy, but syllabi, exam patterns and answers can change or contain errors, so always check official notices from your university, board or exam authority.

2. Your account

You must give accurate details when you sign up and keep them current. If you are under 18, use the Platform with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf.
You sign in with a one-time password sent to your phone or email, or with a password. Keep access to your phone, email and password private; you are responsible for activity on your account.
One account is for one person. Sharing an account or a purchase with others is not allowed.
Tell us at support@1academy.in if you think someone else has used your account.

3. Purchases, pricing and access

Prices are shown in Indian Rupees and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. A GST invoice is available for every paid order.
Payments are processed by our payment partner (Cashfree Payments). We do not see or store your card, UPI or bank credentials.
Access starts as soon as the payment is confirmed and lasts for the validity shown on the product (for example 365 days, or until the exam date). When the validity ends, access ends.
Courses and test series need an enrolment, including free ones. Scheduled mock exams can be attempted only inside the window shown on the test.
We may change prices or offers at any time; this does not affect orders already paid. Coupons have their own conditions and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Refunds and cancellations follow our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

4. Licence to use the content

All notes, videos, questions, solutions, tests and other material on the Platform belong to 1academy or its educators and licensors and are protected by copyright. When you get access, we give you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to view it on the Platform for your own studies.

You may not copy, download (except where a download button is offered), record, screen-capture, re-upload, sell, share, or publish any paid material, or remove watermarks. Course videos carry a viewer watermark linked to your account so that leaks can be traced.

5. Acceptable use

Do not attempt tests on behalf of someone else, use unfair means in mock exams, or use bots or scripts on the Platform.
Do not try to bypass access controls, download protected files, scrape the Platform, or interfere with its security or performance.
Comments, reviews and ratings must be honest and lawful: no abuse, harassment, hate speech, spam, advertising, or other people’s personal data. We may remove such content.
Do not upload or share anything that infringes someone else’s rights.

6. Your comments and reviews

You keep ownership of comments and reviews you post. You allow us to show, store and moderate them on the Platform and in search results. Your display name is shown next to them.

7. Third-party services

Some videos are hosted on YouTube and play inside our player; YouTube’s terms also apply to them. Payments are handled by Cashfree Payments. Links to university, board or exam websites are for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.

8. Copyright complaints

If you believe material on the Platform infringes your copyright, email support@1academy.in with the page link, proof of your rights and your contact details. We will review it and remove infringing material promptly.

9. Suspension and closure

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, for example for account sharing, content leaks or fraudulent payments. Where possible we will tell you why. You can close your account at any time by writing to support@1academy.in; access to purchases ends when the account is closed.

10. Disclaimers and liability

The Platform is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee any exam result, rank or admission. We try to keep the Platform available but it may be interrupted for maintenance or reasons outside our control.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that purchase, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant we will tell you on the Platform or by email. Continuing to use the Platform after a change means you accept it.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any issue; if it is not resolved, the courts at Kolkata, West Bengal have exclusive jurisdiction.
