Unit 1: Tier-II (Paper-I, Section III)
Computer basics: organisation, CPU, input/output devices, memory and its organisation, backup devices, ports, Windows Explorer, keyboard shortcuts. Software: Windows and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Internet and e-mail: browsing and searching, downloading and uploading, managing e-mail, e-banking. Networking and cyber security: devices and protocols, threats (hacking, viruses, worms, trojans) and preventive measures.
